Description
One of the things I like most about her, is that the sole ally that is actually more powerful than us is also the only one that actually seems to respect our power.
Sure, she’s rather distant and certainly more than a little ruthless, but hey, she’s 12 billion years old. That does something to your perspective. Still, she is the only ally in the game that can issue a warning or threat the really has the ability to make me take pause.
These other so-called “allies?” Frankly, the get rather annoying.
Spider and his threats? He really needs to watch his mouth. Remember the House of Wolves? Prison of Elders? Eramis? Sepiks? Bud, you one swipe away from a cranial-booty inversion.
Aurnor? Think I need a connection to the light? Try going after my ghost and I’ll freeze your bitch ass and you little ghost, too.
Shin Malphur? Ooh, big man. You’ve Golden Gunned a few guardians for tampering with Darkness. I’ve melted darkness gods, and then shoved their asses in my guns for good measure. Don’t annoy me. Guess what is in Necromancer, my favorite rifle? I’d really like to have it back. Give me a reason.
Vanguard and your, “I don’t approve…” I don’t remember asking. Just don’t forget you have your job because I don’t want it.
Saladin and his pompous little threats. Remember SIVA? The plague lands? What is deep under Archon’s Forge? Or should I say who was deep under Archon’s Forge? I’ll leave it at your attitude is getting a bit old.
These people seem to forget killing Oryx is our version of a road trip. The Black Garden is where we go to enjoy the horticulture and have a picnic.
Mara might be a tad odd, but she does have a legit excuse. Yet even though she is the single most powerful being in the solar system, she seems to actually respect us in her own way. She’s an enigma wrapped in a riddle, but for some reason I still have more confidence in her than most of the NPCs in the game; Elsie being one possible exception.
This season almost makes you feel like her student and she’s teaching me, as much as she is using us for her own ends. At least she is making no secret about either, for she knows not of the horrors of human existence. Behold, it is car and she does observe.
